To add your WebAssign
assignments to Brightspace®, download a
package with the assignments for this section and then import it into your Brightspace course.
Important Because of changes in the Brightspace LTI
implementation, advanced integration is not recommended.
Important Do not import the same WebAssign assignments more than once to Brightspace. Doing so will cause syncing problems.

assignments, see the following topics:
The following instructions and data are valid only for the
current WebAssign
course section.

Provide details about your WebAssign class section
in Brightspace.

In Brightspace, navigate
to your course.

Click Course Admin, then External
Learning Tools (LTI), and then Manage Tool
Providers.

Click New Tool Provider.

Enter the required information.

Select Current Org Unit. |

Click Save and Close.
The new WebAssign tool
is created.
Important Don't publish the WebAssign tool. Your students must instead click the assignment
links to access the corresponding WebAssign assignments.

Download information about your scheduled WebAssign assignments.
Rename the file if needed.

Import your assignment data to Brightspace.

In Brightspace, navigate
to your course.

Click .

Select Import Components and click
Start.

Click Upload and select the file with your assignment data.

Click Import All Components.
Links to your WebAssign
assignments are created in Brightspace.

Click View Content to see your assignments.

In Brightspace, navigate to your course.

Click Course Admin, then External Learning
Tools (LTI).

To link each assignment to WebAssign, complete the following
steps for each assignment.

Open the dropdown menu beside an assignment and select Edit
Link.

Enter the required information.

A student using one of the assignment links from
Brightspace is
signed in to
WebAssign and directed to the correct assignment.
Note The student must open each assignment from Brightspace.
As an instructor, when you click one of these links, you are signed in to WebAssign but not
directed to the assignment.
