Submit a Student's Saved Work

Your students might start assignments but not submit them. After the due date has passed, you can submit your students' work for them.

• You must have permission to modify grades for the class section.
• The student must have started the assignment. WebAssign automatically saves their answers as they work.
• Student responses must have syntax that WebAssign can understand and grade. Responses that cannot be graded are not submitted. See Answers That Cannot Be Understood for examples.
• The assignment due date must already have passed.

Before the due date, your students can submit their own work. You might also choose to grant extensions to let students submit their own work.

1. Open the My Classes page.

   Click Classes > My Classes and find the section you want.

2. Click scores for the assignment that you want to submit.
3. Click the name of the student whose saved work you want to submit.

   The Responses page is displayed.

4. Click Submit Saved Work.

For each question part, your student's saved work is submitted and scored if all of the following are true:

• saved work exists
• no answer has been submitted
• at least one submission remains

Question parts with submitted answers are not changed.

If needed — for example, if your student continued working after being granted an extension on the assignment — you can submit a student's saved work multiple times.
