Add Questions to a Mastery Set

You can add questions to an existing mastery set.

Note This information describes how to use the new Assignment Editor.

If needed, click Try the New Assignment Editor in the original Assignment Editor to enable this improved experience now.

Expand the Questions section and click + Add Questions.
Add the questions to your assignment that you want to use in the mastery set.
In the question list on the right, select each question you want to add to the mastery set.

You must select at least 2 questions to create a new mastery set.
Click Add Selected To and the click the name of the mastery set.

Note Some question types cannot be included in a mastery set. These questions are flagged with warnings and are not added to the mastery set.
If needed, change the number of questions that will be included in the assignment and the number of correct answers required for credit.

Your mastery set displays Require x of y where x is the required number of correct answers to earn credit and y is the number of questions shown to the student.

In this example, students will be given 3 questions and must answer 2 of them correctly to earn credit.

You can also change these settings from your list of questions in the Assignment Editor. Find your mastery set and click .
Click Update Assignment at the bottom of the question summary.

Important Your assignment is not changed until you click Update Assignment.

The Question Browser closes and your changes are shown in the Assignment Editor.
