You can create a current or future announcement to be displayed on your students'
Home page.

From the menu bar, click
Communication.
If needed, select a class.

In Announcements, click New Announcement.

Enter the announcement Title.
Important Do not use HTML markup in the
title.

In Announcement, enter the body of the
announcement.
- Optional:
Specify the course sections for which you want to post the announcement.
By default, new announcements are posted only in the section in which they
were created.

Click Classes.

Select one or more course sections and click
Update.

In Availability, select the dates that the announcement will be visible to your
students and what happens when the assignment expires.
By default, new announcements are available immediately and do not expire
until the end date for the section in which they were created.

Set the start and end dates for the announcement.

Select where to move the announcement after the expiration date.
Trash removes the announcement from your students' view.
Archive removes the announcement from your students' Home page, but students can still view
it if needed.

Click Preview to view your announcement before posting
it.

Click Save.
Your announcement will be posted to the specified class sections for the dates you
selected. Depending on the availability dates for your announcement, it is listed
under Current or Future until it
becomes current, is archived, or is moved to the trash.
