Access Costs and Textbook Features

The cost of WebAssign access for your students is dependent on the primary textbook selected for the class.

Access Costs

The cost of printed textbooks, WebAssign access, eBooks, and other optional purchases can vary widely between classes. Pricing is based on many factors, including agreements with textbook publishers and the quantity and complexity of the materials.

Students who subscribe to Cengage Unlimited or Cengage Unlimited eTextbooks have access to all Cengage textbooks at no additional cost.

Textbook Features

Some textbooks in WebAssign include traditional end-of-chapter questions but no other features. These textbooks cost only a little more than WebAssign access without a selected textbook. Other textbooks include a range of pedagogical enhancements in WebAssign that go beyond assessing what your student has learned. These might include such things as tutorial questions that guide your students through a concept, interactive simulations that help your students to visualize relationships, or additional course materials that you can use in the classroom. Access with these textbooks costs more not only because they provide more, but also because they represent a substantial investment by the publisher and WebAssign.
