Set Symbolic Formatting Help Display for Assignments

You can show or hide the symbolic formatting help icon symbolic formatting help icon in your assignments.

By default, this icon is shown for Symbolic mode questions that require entry of mathematical notation without using the mathPad, calcPad, or physPad tools. The icon links to a student help topic about entering mathematical notation for these questions.

You can change these settings for your classes or for your assignments. Your assignment settings override your class settings.

Edit the assignment or assignment template settings.

Change the assignment template	In the Assignment Templates Manager, click Edit for the template.
Change the current assignment only	In the Assignment Editor, click Edit Settings. If the assignment used a template, the settings from the selected template become editable in the Assignment Editor and the template is no longer used.

If needed, expand the Display & Syntax Errors settings.
Select Override class settings.
Select or clear Symbolic Formatting Help.
Click Save.
