Request Refund for a Digital Purchase

If you drop a class after purchasing WebAssign, you can request a refund for your eBook, course access, or Cengage Unlimited purchase.

You must wait 24 hours after your initial purchase to request a refund.

  • To get a refund on an upgraded subscription, contact support.cengage.com.
  • Cengage cannot provide refunds for purchases from bookstores or other third parties, such as Amazon®, Barnes & Noble®, and Follett.
  1. Open your Cengage dashboard at login.cengage.com.
  2. In the sidebar, click Orders.
  3. Click Expand to expand an order and view the details.
  4. Click Manage Purchase > Refund.
  5. Select the reason for your refund and click Refund.

Your refund will be processed and deposited in your account in 5–7 days.

You can check the status of your case by signing into the support site or contacting customer support. Have your order number ready to provide during the call.
