WebAssign General Chemistry, published by
WebAssign, is a collection of peer-reviewed questions developed by expert chemistry educators. Designed to support any General Chemistry course or textbook, this robust collection features a series of multi-step tutorials, integrated feedback, and detailed solutions for every question.
The more than 1400 questions available are composed of a variety of problem types:
Skill Questions provide focused practice and support on a particular skill.
Exercises focus on a broader content area, similar to traditional homework.
Concept Mastery Questions assess students’ ability to connect concepts in the framework a larger problem.
Final Exam Questions assess students’ ability to integrate a wide range of chemical concepts in a single question, suitable for final exams or year-end reviews.
The sample questions below highlight all the features described above, and demonstrate additional features such as significant figure grading, the chemPad tool for chemical notation, and the Marvin JS tool for chemical drawings.
This demo assignment allows many submissions and allows you to try another version of the same question for practice wherever the problem has randomized values.
The answer key and solutions will display after the first submission for demonstration purposes. Instructors can configure these to display after the due date or after a specified number of submissions. |
