    Precalculus: Mathematics for Calculus, 7th edition—Global Edition by James Stewart, Lothar Redlin, and Saleem Watson, published by Cengage Learning, will give students a solid foundation in the principles of mathematical thinking. Problem solving and mathematical modeling are reinforced throughout the text. The WebAssign enhancement to this textbook uses metric conversions and engages students with immediate feedback, rich tutorial content, and an interactive, customizable eBook.

    Questions 1, 3-6, 8-10, and 12 have Watch Its so students can learn more from instructional videos.

    Questions 3, 8, and 9 have Master Its with step-by-step tutorials.

    Question 1 uses the WebAssign NumberLine to graph indicated set.

    Question 4 uses the WebAssign graphing tool to graph the linear function.

    Question 5 demonstrates interval grading for domain and range, which can grade any canonically equivalent interval and enforce proper notation.

    Question 7 features a Focus on Modeling question.

    Question 11 illustrates vector grading.

    Question 12 uses the matrix tool, which allows student to define the size of the resulting matrix.

    Question 13 shows the matrix tool, which grades the entire matrix and accepts multiple correct answers. Try entering [0,0; 1,0] and [1,0;0,0].

    Question 14 is a Video Example that provides integrated video instruction and a follow up question about the concept that is presented. This demo assignment allows many submissions and allows you to try another version of the same question for practice wherever the problem has randomized values.
