Here are some textbook questions from Glencoe Biology: The Dynamics of Life 2/e by Biggs et al published by Glencoe/McGraw-Hill. Click here for a list of all of the questions coded in WebAssign. This demo assignment allows many more submissions than recommended and does not show any feedback for the individual questions. Multiple choice questions are often assigned this way, only showing total assignment score, without showing the students which questions they are getting right and wrong. This often results in lots of 'biology conversations' among your students.

Assignment Submission

For this assignment, you submit answers by question parts. The number of submissions remaining for each question part only changes if you submit or change the answer.

Cowbirds get their name because they follow cows and eat the insects disturbed by the walking cows. Cowbirds have an unusual method for reproducing. The brown-headed cowbird goes to the nest of a different bird species, such as the red-wing blackbird. The cowbird rolls one of the blackbird's eggs out of the nest and lays its own egg in place. The blackbird protects the cowbird egg and feeds the chick when it hatches.

This description best descibes the cowbird's _________.
