WebAssign is constantly adding new features to make WebAssign the best online homework system.
The following new features are available to all teachers and are being added to textbook questions as needed.

is a mathematical symbol palette that removes the burden of entering mathematical syntax for an answer.
Students choose symbols from the palette so they can focus on the content of the problem.

As with all of our algorithmic, randomized problems, WebAssign takes care of the grading.

is an innovative new tool that allows students to hand sketch their work.
Sketches in Pencil Pad are not graded, but are available for instructors to view and are a valuable part of the problem solving process for students.

Practice Another Version allows students to attempt the same question with a new set of algorithmic values until they feel they are ready to move on.
This is perfect for practice and confidence building.

Coming for Summer 2008, ChemPad will allow students to enter chemical compounds and formulas by either typing into the answer blank or clicking the palette buttons. In either case their answer will be displayed in proper chemical notation as they work.
