cT is an algorithmic programming language like C, Pascal, Fortran, and Basic, but it is greatly enhanced by multimedia capabilities. cT lets you
incorporate the following features into your program design:
- Color graphics
- Built-in graph plotting
- Mouse input
- Pull-down menus
- Multifont text including math symbols
- Movies in QuickTime or Video for Windows format

The cT programming language offers two distinct advantages:
- Easy programming of multimedia material
- Portability across Macintosh, Windows, DOS, and Unix
While other languages may offer portability of purely computational code, cT is unique in providing machine-independent support for multimedia
presentations and mouse interactions as well.
The cT programming environment provides you with a set of powerful capabilities that ensure
easy, efficient programming:
- On-line help with executable program examples
- A graphics editor for automatic generation of graphics commands
- Incremental compiling to provide rapid turn-around
- Detailed error diagnosis
The cT package includes everything you need to start programming: the cT programming
environment, on-line help with executable examples, a language manual, a freely distributable
run-time package, and an extensive set of sample programs in source form.
cT makes it possible for both expert and non-professional programmers to create modern, portable, interactive software. User's manual, 450 pp.
System Requirements:
Installing cT on a Macintosh
The following files must be copied into one common folder in order to work properly:
- cT Create- the main cT application, for creating cT programs
- ctelp- the on-line help
- commands. det-the list of all cT commands cT Create and cthelp are licensed to a single user (unless you have a multiple- user or site license). The files listed above must be in the same folder, but other cT- related files can be placed anywhere. Except for the main cT application cT Create and the on-line help cthelp, all other files are freely distributable including, in particular, the run-time package cT Executor, which you distribute with your completed programs
Installing cT on Windows
Execute the installation procedure setup.exe. This installs special fonts needed by cT and automatically places the following files in a common directory (which is necessary for them to work properly):
- ctwin exe- the main cT application, for creating cT programs
- cthelp- the on-line help
- commands.det- the list of all cT commands ctwin. Exe and cthelp are licensed to a single user (unless you have a multiple- user or site license). The files listed above must be in the same directory, but other cT- related files can be placed any where. Except for the main cT application ctwin. exe and the on-line help cthelp, all other files are freely distributable including, in particular, the run-time package ctwinx. Exe which you distribute with your completed programs.
Installing cT on DOS
The following files must be copied in to one common directory in order to work properly:
- ct.exe- the main cT application, for creating ct programs
- cthelp- the on-line help
- commands. dct- the list of all cT commands
- ctxl. Exe- the cT Executor or run-time package
- *.fpc- font files
ct.exe and cthelp are licensed to a single user(unless you have a multiple- user or site license). The files listed above must be in the same directory, but other cT- related files can be placed any where. Except for the main cT application ct.exe and the on-line help cthelp, all other files are freely distributable including, in particular, you distribute with your completed programs.
