Understanding real world data is a complex - but not impossible - task. There is a simple way to detect chaos, analyze the data, and predict future behavior: Chaos Data Analyzer. If you are an economist, physicist, biologist, meteorologist, medical researcher, or stockbroker, your interest is suddenly piqued. But you're skeptical. You can see your future: complicated analytical techniques, torturous mathematical equations, mounds of data, months hunched over a computer... Chaos Data Analyzer easily detects hidden determinism, or chaos, in seemingly random data and determines the properties of the equations underlying the phenomena. You can analyze more than 16,000 data points representing any quantity measured at equally spaced intervals (like heart beats or stock market prices). If the interval is a time, Chaos Data Analyzer performs a time series analysis. You can also display data in phase-space plots, return maps, and Poincaré movies.
Chaos Data Analyzer consists of fourteen different analytical tools or programs. These include calculations of probability distribution, power spectrum, Lyapunov exponent, and various measures of the fractal dimension. One novel technique employs singular value decomposition to construct a set of model equations whose solutions predict the next few terms in a time series. Chaos Data Analyzer is menu-driven and easy to use. All commands are entered with a single keystroke. Sample data files are included. An automatic mode performs all tests sequentially and summarizes the results. The user interface was designed so that you can move easily from one analysis program to the next. Chaos Data Analyzer was created with simplicity in mind. Now everyone can explore the important parameters of nonlinear behavior and apply the results to their given field. Physics isn't just for physicists anymore! 62 pp. System Requirements:
