New Features Announcements

September 2009 Release

Dear Instructor,

With fall courses now starting up, we've only launched a few new features this month. One is designed to save you time, the other designed to give you more ways to integrate WebAssign into your course.

Deliver Secure Testing with WebAssign LockDown Browser

Looking for an easier and more secure way to manage online testing? WebAssign has partnered with Respondus to debut WebAssign LockDown Browser, a free download that gives you the added security you need to confidently administer high stakes assignments online. With WebAssign LockDown Browser installed, your students cannot send instant messages or email, search the internet, print, copy text, or use other applications on their computer until they submit the assignment for grading.

Simplified Access to Resources and Personal Study Plans

By popular user request, we've made it easier to access and assign personal study plans (if available with your textbook) and your course resources (see our June Release Announcement for more details on course resources). Previously, you needed to open a specific Classview to access these tools, but now you can easily access them from either the Classview or your MyCourses page. It's just a small tweak to the interface to save you even more time when using WebAssign.

We hope you find this month's new features useful as you begin the new term. And, as always, if you have any ideas or suggestions to enhance the WebAssign experience for you or your students, let us know!
