Improved Course Creation and Assignment Scheduling
Our November 2012 release greatly enhances the way you create courses and schedule assignments. Featuring one-step course creation, the ability to copy courses and assignments across terms, and an innovative new way to schedule assignments, this release is focused on saving you time.
A Whole New Way to Create Your Courses
We’ve streamlined the way you create your courses in WebAssign with a leaner, faster page that focuses only on the options that are most important to you. Selecting a textbook is effortless with the new textbook search box and discipline-specific dropdown menu.
A Whole New Way to Schedule Assignments
We’ve also upgraded the way you schedule your assignments. Instead of scheduling each assignment one at a time, you can now drag your assignments from a searchable list to the week for which they should be scheduled. You also have new options to specify, for example, that your assignment is due 1 hour before Wednesday's class. You can reschedule or unschedule assignments just as easily, by dragging them to a different week or back to the assignment list. These improvements will greatly reduce the amount of time it takes to schedule your assignments.
A Whole New Way to Copy Your Courses
You can now copy one of your previous course sections to a new term in seconds. Using our new Course Copy functionality, you can instantly copy all of your assignments to a new course in a new term, and all of the visible and due dates will be rescheduled to match your new course schedule. Gradebook settings, assignment restrictions and conditions, and all other assignment behaviors are copied as well.
A Whole New Way to Manage Multisection Courses
In addition to being able to copy a previous section into a new course, you can duplicate sections within a course. Copy one of your existing sections quickly and you are done. Assignments that were scheduled relative to class meetings are automatically adjusted to the class meeting time of the new section. Forgot to add an assignment to all 30 sections of a math course? Add it to one section and copy it to the others with just a few clicks. Large course management in WebAssign has never been easier.
