New: Group Assignments
We are pleased to announce the release of Group Assignments.
You can now set up Student Groups in one of several different ways, and
then schedule an assignment to be a group assignment. With a Student
Group assignment your students can work together to determine their
answers, and then have any single member of the group log in and submit
those answers for the whole group. Any action -- such as submitting an
assignment, saving work, or requesting an extension -- is counted for
all of the group's members.
To start using this feature, go to the Schedule page for a new
assignment and click "Show Restrictions". At the bottom of the
restrictions page is a new setting, Group Assignment.
WebAssign offers several different ways to create students groups. You
may choose to set up default Class Groups to be used throughout the
semester, or you may want to have different groups for each assignment,
all generated randomly. You also have the option to create groups based
on performance in the class or on a particular assignment, grouping
those students who are doing well with those students who may need
additional help. And, as always, you have complete control to edit and
modify your groups however you see fit.
