Many instructors have requested that we gather and display a list of any communication items that need attentention when one first logs in.

We have now added a new 'CommCheck' icon on the main WebAssign toolbar. (Look for the white mailbox with the red flag next to the search icon.)

WebAssign will now check for any new private messages, help requests, and extensions in all classes upon login, and every 20 minutes after that as you continue to work within WebAssign. If we find any new items, the flag on the mailbox will be up and the number of items will be listed next to it.

Clicking the mailbox will do an immediate recount, and will display more detailed information about which of your sections require attention for communication items along with direct links to those items.

We hope that this improvement will make using the communications features of WebAssign more convenient.
