WebAssign allows you to access your homework, quizzes, and tests—whatever your instructor chooses—at any time of day or night. Depending on how your instructor uses the service, your score and your completely graded assignment may be delivered to you after you submit your work. The entire process can be done from any computer with a connection to the Internet and a Web browser.
Your instructor creates your assignments, schedules them and decides how many submissions you get, whether you can have an extension, whether you can save your work without submitting, and how much feedback you get after you submit an assignment.
The WebAssign support staff cannot give extensions, change your score, give you extra submissions, or help you with the content of your assignments.
Privacy is important for everyone, and WebAssign is designed to protect your privacy. You must provide a username and password to gain access to your work. You may change your password at anytime. Always keep it private.
Before you start, please note the following important points.
Most standard Web connections should work with WebAssign. We recommend that you use Firefox 1.0 or later or Internet Explorer 5.5 or later with a 56 KBPS modem, broadband or school network. We do not recommend the AOL browser.
Bookmark https://www.webassign.net/login.html or the appropriate address for your school. You cannot skip the login page. WebAssign must know it is you before delivering your assignments!
Before starting WebAssign on a shared computer, exit any browsers and restart a browser application. If you simply close the browser window or open a new window, login information contained in an encrypted key may not be yours. Likewise, to prevent losing credit for the work you have done, click the Logout link and exit the browser completely when you are finished.
Make sure that your browser has both JavaScript and Java enabled.
