The Calendar link brings up your own personal calendar showing all of your assignments on their due dates and any personal calendar events you have added.
You can also click any date and enter your own events.
The Communication link gives you access to private messages and course forums, if you instructor has enabled these features.
The forums are for discussions with all the members of your class. Your instructor can create forums and you can create topics within a forum or contribute to a current topic.
Private Messages are for communications between you and your instructor. You can click the New Message link and write your instructor a message. If your instructor has disabled private messages, there will not be a New Message link.
If you would like Forums and Private Messages available for your class, ask your instructor to turn them on in WebAssign.
You can view all of your scores on WebAssign assignments on the My Assignments page. Depending on your instructor, you may also be able to see your scores on assignments that you took outside of WebAssign.
The Grades link at the top of all your WebAssign pages gives you access to the raw scores and grades your instructor decided to post. The grades page may also have information on the class average, minimum and maximum, the standard deviation, and a histogram of scores for each category of assignment and each individual assignment. It may have your average for each category of assignment as well as the score on each individual assignment. Your instructor will let you know what Scores and Grades will be posted in your course.
If your instructor has enabled all of the options, your display will be similar to the one below.
The Overall Grade gives information on your grade in the class as calculated from the various categories of assignments—Homework, Test, In Class, Quiz, Lab, and Exam. Your instructor may have different categories. The Category Grades give the contribution to your overall grade from each of the categories. If you click a grade that is a link, it will pop up a window showing how the number was calculated. Class Statistics shows you how the rest of the class is doing.
My Scores Summary pops up a window with a summary of all your raw scores and the class statistics on each assignment if your teacher has posted these.
