Faculty Collaboration

WebAssign makes it easy for faculty to work together, whether they are at the same institution or spread across the nation.

Sharing Course-Management Tasks

Instructors can grant other faculty or teaching assistants access to a class so they can share duties such as:

  • Setting up classes and rostering
  • Creating assignments, including choosing questions, point values, and due dates
  • Responding to extension requests
  • Communicating with students
  • Grading essays

Question Sharing

Instructors can also form groups to author new questions. Groups provide an opportunity for multiple people to review and proof questions, but groups can also save time by allowing individuals to focus on specific tasks. For example, one group member might excel at writing the questions while another is a master at coding the answer algorithms.

Want to share questions with a colleague? With WebAssign, it just takes a few clicks. All you need to do is mark the question protected or public and give your colleague the assignment ID or question ID. Find a top-notch video, slide show, or other file that you'd like to have for your class? Ask the owner to allow you to upload the file into WebAssign's Resource section for your class, and mark the file viewable to students.
