WebAssign makes it easy to use your own questions in assignments. Our powerful question editor can incorporate text, mathematical equations and formulas, sound, pictures, video, and Java applets. Answers can be:
- Numerical, with or without units
- Mathematical equations or formulas
- Multiple choice or multiple select
- Fill in the blank
- Chemical formulas or reactions
- Chemical drawings
- Number lines
- File uploads
- Image maps
- Essays (must be graded by the instructor)
Numbers, words, phrases, and even graphics and sound or video files can be randomized so that each student receives a different version of the same question.
To create questions, use our built-in templates, or start from scratch with Mathematica, Matlab, MarvinSketch, or our wide selection of pads (mathPad, chemPad, calcPad, physPad, pencilPad) and our Graphing Tool. You can even use Camtasia to embed online 'clicker' questions that are automatically scored and recorded in your gradebook.
Use the same tools to copy an existing question and modify it for your needs. Existing questions can be your own, from the textbook used in your class, our from our Authored, Public, or Test-Prep Collections.
