Enhanced Content for Math

(for all math books indicated as enhanced)

1. Homework Problems -- questions from your favorite Thomson-Brooks/Cole mathematics texts

Choose from 1500 questions per book including fill-in-the-blank, multiple choice, multi-select, multi-step, and hot-spot problem types. Questions are text-specific, match the end-of-section exercises, and never deviate from the concepts covered in that section. Graphics and figures are taken directly from the text to enhance the questions. Important pedagogical features like vocabulary are also featured in the homework questions.

2. Active Examples -- Function the way students work

Active Examples are a bridge from homework to examples and additional practice. While doing homework students can link to an example from the book, just like they would in their textbook.

These multi-step fill-in-the-blank examples allow students to work through examples at their own pace. When they are finished, they may return to the original homework problem.

3. Skillbuilder Videos -- Portable office hours

Students can see and hear additional instruction through the Skillbuilder Video link from each homework question. The examples worked in each 2-5 minute video correlate to the problems in the homework questions.

4. Textbook PDFs -- Portable textbook

Students will also find helpful links to excerpts from their textbook. Whenever they leave their book behind, they can always refer to important sections within their homework assignment.
